Who is Piksel Faith?

Posted by Alan Riley

For 17 years, Piksel Faith has been a pioneer and innovator in providing world-class digital media services to churches, faith-based organizations and religious broadcasters around the world. But you may have never heard of us, because we specialize in working invisibly behind the scenes to enable our customers to reach beyond the walls to a global audience. Here’s a little background on Piksel Faith’s history, business model, and what makes us unique:

Piksel Faith had it’s beginnings in 2001 when a small entrepreneurial media company in Atlanta called Multicast Media formed a division called Streaming Faith to help churches navigate the brand new landscape of online video. Over the next 5 years, Streaming Faith grew exponentially, especially among Charismatic churches. In 2005, Multicast partnered with the Southern Baptist Convention’s North American Mission Board to start 316 Networks, an initiative to bring digital media to mainline, evangelical, and contemporary churches. By 2008, Streaming Faith and 316 Networks had together become the largest provider of digital media services to the world’s faith-based organizations. In 2010, Multicast was acquired by a public company called KIT Digital, and in 2013, KIT was reorganized under new leadership to become a privately held company called Piksel. Piksel provides online video services to organizations of all sizes, from simple IP delivery of live and on-demand content to complex over-the-top solutions for the world’s top broadcasters including Discovery Communications, Sky and Liberty Global.

In 2014, Streaming Faith and 316 Networks became Piksel Faith. We serve hundreds of churches and organizations of all sizes around the world – many of which have been with us for ten years or more – with a service and support model that is unique in the industry.

From the very beginning, Piksel Faith has provided 24/7/365 real person support and monitoring of live events. The incredible team in the Piksel Live Support Center (PLS) in Atlanta monitors and manages each live event with pre-event checks, live monitoring during the event, and phone and email support for our customers and for their viewers. This is no small feat because we host more than 40,000 scheduled live events every year! No matter what your issue is, there is never a time of the day or night that you cannot pick up the phone and immediately talk to a live technician. Standing behind our PLS team is our Live Events Engineering team, which is also on call 24/7. And on top of these pillars of support, our customers have a dedicated Service Delivery Manager who is responsible for the day-to-day proactive support for our customers.

No one else in the industry provides the level of service and support that Piksel Faith does. When you combine that with our incredible Digital Enterprise video platform and the Piksel Flytecast encoder that is provided as a part of our service, you have an unbeatable solution for your digital media ministry.

Piksel Faith’s solutions are incredibly affordable, starting at just $500 a month for our end-to-end packages!
